As a Business Class passenger, you can take more baggage on board with you: 30 kg. The so-called ‘Piece Concept’ applies on all flights to the USA: this allows you to board with two items of baggage, each weighing 32 kg. As a Business Class passenger, you can also take 2 items of hand luggage – the first weighing no more than 8 kg in total weight, the second no more than 4 kg in total. Your baggage is provided with a special Priority tag at Check-in to ensure it is amongst the first to be loaded onto the conveyor belt after landing. This allows you to continue on your way home or to your destination quickly, and with the minimum amount of stress. As a Business Class passenger, one of your first experiences on arrival at the airport will be using your own Check-in Desk in the Departure Hall. This will make long waiting times and queuing up things of the past.

Lounges

In the exclusive Business Lounges in Vienna, you can fill the time before your flight in an agreeable atmosphere by drinking a coffee, checking your e-mails or simply relaxing while reading a book or watching your favourite television programme. In the business center you have the chance to prepare your next business date or send a quick email before leaving the airport. Fax, credit card telephones, computers, internet, printers, copier, cellular phones utilizable in Japan or USA etc. are available for you. An account statement printer is also available for any Miles & More participants who wish to call up their current mileage status. Time flyes by when you chill-out in one of our broad relax-chairs and enjoy unprecedented sound- and image- quality with the 42" wide plasma-screens by LOEWE. Furthermore you can of course take advantage of the wide selection of national and international newspapers and journals. You can also catch up on the latest international news on TV.

Business Class Seat

The Business Class seats were designed to allow undisturbed communication with your neighbour – after all, a lot of new business ideas were born above the clouds. But the adjustable screen provides complete privacy if you prefer. One easy movement releases a stable, generously-sized table that serves as a work surface or restaurant table. Your footrest extends at the touch of a button, giving you almost 2 metres of personal legroom for the ultimate in relaxation. The handy storage compartment provides space for your laptop, book or reading glasses. Plug your laptop into the 110 volt power socket: you don't need an adaptor and you can use it throughout the entire flight. The touch of a button brings your seat into the desired position: upright, relaxed or reclining. Or use the fully adjustable controls to select your own personal setting.

In an effort to make longer medium-haul flights an even more comfortable travel experience, moreover, Austrian Airlines is converting four of its Airbus A320 aircraft on a staged basis until September 2008, equipping the Business Class zones of each aircraft with 24 exclusive Recaro business sleeper seats. The seats will provide a range of state-of-the-art features including 116 cm of legroom, a backrest set at a tilt offering the maximum level of comfort, electronically adjustable backrest and footrest and integrated massage function, ensuring the user experiences a relaxed flight.

Austrian Business Jet

From now on, Austrian Airlines is offering a new service together with air charter company JETALLIANCE. Passengers booking their long-haul flight in Austrian Business Class can now also opt to take a flexible feeder flight from anywhere in Europe with Citation Jets: a time-saving and exclusive service from a single provider, at an attractive fixed price.

The Austrian Business Jet is organised in harmony with Austrian long-haul flights throughout Europe. Precise route and time scheduling enables the short stays at airports, while separate passport and security checks ensure an exclusive transfer in Vienna. The Vienna Airport VIP Lounge and Jetalliance VIP Lounge are both available to customers on request. Business Class comfort and personal care are thereby guaranteed from the first minute. Specially trained members of our service team are available as points of contact for the whole travel organisation process.

The entertainment programme contains something to suit your every possible mood: up to 18 video channels show a diverse programme featuring a mix of the latest movies and cinematic classics through to movie premieres above the clouds. The audio programme offers the right for every possible musical taste, while a range of newspapers and magazines help you keep up-to-date with events down on the ground.
