On Ground Services

As a Business Class passenger, you can take more baggage on board with you: 30 kg. The so-called ‘Piece Concept’ applies on all flights to the USA: this allows you to board with two items of baggage, each weighing 32 kg. As a Business Class passenger, you can also take 2 items of hand luggage – the first weighing no more than 8 kg in total weight, the second no more than 4 kg in total. Your baggage is provided with a special Priority tag at Check-in to ensure it is amongst the first to be loaded onto the conveyor belt after landing. This allows you to continue on your way home or to your destination quickly, and with the minimum amount of stress. As a Business Class passenger, one of your first experiences on arrival at the airport will be using your own Check-in Desk in the Departure Hall. This makes long waiting times and queuing up things of the past.

Lounges

If you’re travelling in Business Class or travelling on an Economy Flexible ticket (UK Domestic and Western Europe), you can relax before your flight or carry on working in the network of exclusive business lounges. Wireless internet access is available in the bmi lounges at Aberdeen, Belfast, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London Heathrow and Manchester airports. Sky television is available in the bmi business and diamond club lounges at Heathrow, Durham Tees Valley and Belfast City. The TV is set on default to Sky News but all sky channels are available upon request at reception. Sky TV is being introduced shortly at Dublin, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Manchester. bmi business class passengers are also allowed to use the wide network of Star Alliance Lounges around the world

Business Class Seat

The contemporary-styled, fully adjustable beds boast beige and chocolate brown leather upholstery with a generous 26-inch width and 78 to 80-inch seat length. For added comfort the electronic lumbar support, leg rests and foot rests can all be adjusted with the seat control panel. BMI Business Class offers luxurious, ergonomically designed sleeper seats with 60 inches of legroom and a recline of 160 degrees. Additional features include: adjustable personal reading light; tray and cocktail tables and an added storage compartment located at the rear of each seat. In the bmi Business cabin, you can now enjoy 42 lie-flat beds on the Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam services. On services from Manchester to the Caribbean and the USA there are 18 lie-flat beds in the Business cabin and 30 Premium Economy seats.

Premium Class Seat

On The Manchester services, bmi offers customers a premium economy class seats which are fitted in the second cabin. The premium economy class offers a 50 degree recline, 21-inch seat width and 49-inch seat pitch. The seats also offer adjustable footrest, headrest and lumbar support, telephones, laptop power and dataports at each seat, state of the art seat back inflight entertainment, a choice of fine international, modern cuisine, advance seat selection at time of booking, complimentary soft and alcoholic drinks, complimentary newspapers and magazines, complimentary comfort kit on inbound sector.

In Flight Meals

Complimentary food and drinks are available to customers travelling on a business fare on flights between London Heathrow and Belfast, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Brussels and Jersey. Business guests will be offered champagne or orange juice before take-off and a three course meal when travelling to Moscow. Service

You’ll receive a complimentary Business Class comfort kit, whilst children get a bmi kiddies kit full of goodies to keep them entertained. If you have something to celebrate then business class guests can take advantage of bmi's champagne and chocolates gift service, available on the longhaul flights to the USA and Caribbean. To book this service Guests need to call the line at least 2 working days in advance of date of travel.

On Board Entertainment

Customers can also look forward to 15-inch individual seatback screens to enjoy the range of entertainment on offer, with a choice of the latest film releases, TV and audio channels. The overall look of the cabins will be refreshed to create the ideal environment for your journey and the onboard chef will continue to serve delicious dishes to suit everyone's taste. When flying with BMI Business Class on long haul you can sit back and enjoy the inflight entertainment from the 9 inch arm rest mounted video screens. You’re spoilt for choice with 11 movie, 9 television and 16 audio channels. You can also play over 30 of the latest Nintendo and classic PC games. If you're travelling in business with us on the Moscow service, you will be offered a new personal inflight entertainment player.
