About British Airways

oneworld® founder member British Airways launched the world's first daily scheduled international air service and remains the world's leading international airline. Throughout its history, it has been a pioneer - the first airline to offer jet passenger services, the first to operate weather-beating autolandings, the first to offer supersonic passenger services and the first in the modern era to offer fully-flat beds.

Its main base is London Heathrow, the world's most popular international airport. It also has hubs at London Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow.

With its franchisees and affiliates, it serves more than 210 destinations and some 90 countries, in Europe, Australia, Asia, Africa and North and South America.

Among its oneworld partners, British Airways owns 10 per cent of Iberia. It has wide-ranging commercial agreements with the Spanish airline, and with Qantas. It also code-shares with all other members of the alliance. Beyond oneworld, it has commercial links with Alaska, Emirates, Jet Airways and SN Brussels.
