[edit] British Airways Business Jet / Club World London City
British Airways is to launch double daily business class-only flights from London City airport to New York (2008). The new flights will operate on Airbus A318 aircraft with 32 seats onboard. The A318 is the perfect aircraft for these flights. It is capable of operating at London City and is large enough for us to provide the number of business class seats required to make this a viable operation. British Airways has ordered two A318 aircraft to operate these flights. They will be the first A318s in the British Airways fleet though the airline already operates 69 Airbus A320 family shorthaul aircraft OpenSkies. The Club World London City seat is a new seat to the British Airways fleet. Designed to adapt to your needs, whether you're working, sleeping, eating, or relaxing. When you are ready to settle down to sleep your seat reclines to a fully flat 6 foot (183cm) bed. You'll find two sockets which can take UK or US plugs for your laptop and personal media player. If you wish to put your feet up and relax in front of a movie or listen to some of your favourite music, your personal media player is preloaded with the latest music and movies you can watch on demand.[13]
