Air China Companion mileage points are accumulated in units of kilometers. Distances are calculated based on the Ticketed Point Mileage (TPM) standard published by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The mileage points in member's mileage account are valid for two calendar years, during which if you haven't redeemed accumulated mileage awards, and then your accumulated mileage points will become invalid automatically. For example, your accumulated mileage points in 2001 are valid until December 31, 2003. If you haven't redeemed your mileage awards before that date, your accumulated mileage points will become invalid automatically.

Status and Privileges

Air China Companion members include four memberships, namely platinum card member, gold card member, silver card member and regular card member. Platinum card, gold card and silver card members are collectively referred to as VIP members. The validity of VIP card is one year. When a regular member is upgraded to a VIP member for the first time, the effective period of the VIP card is from the date of inception to March 31 of the third year thereafter；When a VIP member reaches the standard of maintaining VIP membership, the effective period of the VIP card is from April 1 in the same year of inception to March 31 of the next year. The same card number will be kept.

As a VIP member, no matter which class the ticket you have purchased, you may enjoy the priority of check-in whenever taking an Air China flight. Platinum card and gold card members may check in at the first-class counter and silver card members at the business class counter. At the airports without business class ticket counters, silver card members may check in at the first-class counter.
