To ensure that your flight mileage is credited accurately and timely, please give our service personnel both your membership card number and your name (as it appears on your card), when you are making a reservation yourself or through a travel agent. When checking in at the airport, presenting your membership card will ensure that your mileage is automatically credited to your account.

Mileage must be redeemed within six calendar years and used in accordance with this program's guidelines. Further, a membership will become terminated if no mileage is earned within 3 consecutive years. Mileage under that card number will be canceled subsequently.

Only flight mileage on scheduled flights on China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines can be counted toward Gold, Emerald or Paragon membership qualifications. Partnership mileage can be combined with other DFP miles in a member's account for award redemption, but cannot be counted toward DFP membership upgrade.

Flight mileage is not credited for tickets sold at discounts of 50% or more, nor is it credited for free, infant, barter, charter, excess baggage, or airline and travel industry discount tickets.

Status and Privileges

Paragon Membership

Emerald Members can become Paragon Members after fulfilling one of the following requirements on applicable flights within a 12-month period:

1. Accumulating 180,000 miles, including six full fare flights in First Class or Dynasty Class; or
2. Log a record of 60 full fare flights in First Class or Dynasty Class.

• A flight with actual mileage of less than 500 miles is calculated as half a flight.
• First Class or Dynasty Class flights taken by using cabin class upgrades or free tickets, Upgrade Mileage and Incentive Mileage are not counted toward Paragon Membership upgrades or renewals.

Emerald Membership

Gold Members can become Emerald Members after fulfilling one of the following requirements on applicable flights within a 12-month period:

1. Accumulating 110,000 miles, including four full fare flights in First Class or Dynasty Class; or

1. Flying 40 First Class or Dynasty Class scheduled flights with full fare ticket within the same period.

• .A flight with actual mileage of less than 500 miles is calculated as half a flight.
• .First Class or Dynasty Class flights taken by using cabin class upgrades or free tickets, Upgrade Mileage are not counted toward Emerald Membership upgrades or renewals.

Gold Membership

Dynasty Members can become Gold Members after fulfilling one of the following requirements on applicable flights within a 12-month period:

1. Accumulating 40,000 miles; or

1. Log a record of 10 full fare flights in First Class or Dynasty Class.

• A flight with actual mileage of less than 500 miles is calculated as half a flight.
• First Class or Dynasty Class flights taken by using cabin class upgrades or free tickets, Upgrade Mileage are not counted toward Emerald Membership upgrades or renewals.

500 miles will be deducted each time when a member request replacement of membership card or Membership Guide. NT$ 300 (or the equivalent of US$10 in local currency) will be charged only if there is no sufficient mileage in account of the member submitting the request.

Dynasty Membership

Effective from 01 June 2006, anyone 2 years of age or above may apply for membership and obtain membership card number. Members under age of 12 have to register legal guardian in the membership data, who must also be a member.
