Earn Miles

Etihad Guest Miles are earned at the rate of at least one Etihad Guest Mile for every mile you fly with Etihad Airways. In addition, you will receive an extra Zone Bonus of 50% Etihad Guest Miles for flying in the Etihad Airways Pearl Zone and a 100% Zone Bonus whenever you fly in the luxurious Etihad Airways Diamond Zone. Etihad Guest Silver and Etihad Guest Gold members also qualify for Tier Bonuses. Tier Bonuses are earned at the rate of 25% of miles flown for Etihad Guest Silver and 50% of miles flown for Etihad Guest Gold. For example, if you fly from London to Abu Dhabi you'll travel 3,409 miles. As an Etihad Guest member flying in the Coral Zone you will earn 3,409 Etihad Guest Miles each way.

Etihad Guest Miles expire three years from the date they were first earned. Expired miles will be deducted from your account twice a year, at the end of June and December.

While Etihad Guest Miles can be redeemed for rewards, Etihad Guest Tier Miles/ Segments contribute towards your eligibility for either of our premium tiers — Etihad Guest Silver and Etihad Guest Gold.

Etihad Guest Tier Segments are earned at a rate of one Tier Segment for each flight flown in the Coral Zone, two Tier Segments in the Pearl Zone and three Tier Segments in Diamond Zone.

Etihad Guest Tier Miles are reset to zero at the start of each calendar year, but to ensure that we capture all the Tier Miles you earn during the qualifying period, you will receive a bonus three months at the end of your membership period during which time you can continue to enjoy the benefits of your Etihad Guest Tier.

Earn a minimum of one Etihad Guest Mile for every mile you fly on a qualifying flight with one of the air partners.

Status and Privileges

Etihad Guest Gold

You need to reach just 50,000 Etihad Guest Tier Miles or 40 Etihad Guest Tier Segments within any consecutive 12-month period to advance to Etihad Guest Gold.

Once you reach your new tier, you only need to go on earning 40,000 Etihad Guest Tier Miles or 30 Etihad Guest Tier Segments in each subsequent calendar year to retain your treasured status!

Once you reach Etihad Guest Gold you will retain your membership status for the remainder of the calendar year in which you qualify, plus an additional two calendar years.

Etihad Guest Tier Miles are reset to zero at the start of each calendar year, but to ensure that we capture all the Tier Miles you earn during the qualifying period you will receive a bonus three months at the end of your membership period during which time you can continue to enjoy the benefits of your tier.

For example, if you advance to Etihad Guest Gold in February 2007 will retain your Gold status until March 2010.

Take advantage of our fast-track immigration regardless of your Zone when you travel on an Etihad Airways flight. Your baggage will also receive priority and arrive at the baggage carousel with the Pearl & Diamond Zone baggage whenever possible.

Etihad Guest Gold members can check in at the Pearl Zone counter regardless of the Zone of travel and enjoy priority boarding at the aircraft. Simply present your Etihad Guest Card at check-in to benefit.

Take advantage of our free excess baggage allowance of 15 kg above the amount shown on your ticket. Your excess baggage allowance is guaranteed regardless of how full your flight is.

Regardless of your class of travel whenever you travel with Etihad Airways you can enjoy the luxury of the exclusive Etihad Guest Lounges with an accompanying guest before your flight or during transit with Etihad.

As an Etihad Guest Gold member, if you make a booking at least 24 hours in advance Etihad will guarantee you a Coral Zone seat on the Etihad Airways flight of your choice – even if the flight is fully booked.

Etihad Guest Silver

You need to reach just 25,000 Etihad Guest Tier Miles or 20 Etihad Guest Tier Segments within any consecutive 12-month period to advance to Etihad Guest Silver.

Once you reach your new tier, you only need to go on earning 20,000 Etihad Guest Tier Miles or 15 Etihad Guest Tier Segments in each subsequent calendar year to retain your treasured status!

As an Etihad Guest Silver member, you will retain your membership status for the remainder of the calendar year in which you qualify, plus the next calendar year.

Etihad Guest Tier Miles are reset to zero at the start of each calendar year but to ensure we capture all the Tier Miles you earn during the qualifying period you will receive a bonus three months at the end of your membership period during which time you can continue to enjoy the benefits of your tier.

For example, if you advance to Etihad Guest Silver in February 2007, you will retain your Silver status until March 2009.
