In the global Miles & More frequent flyer programme, you collect miles whenever you fly with one of the numerous partner airlines. You'll also add miles to your mileage account by renting cars, staying at hotels or using the products and services of further programme partners.

Award miles

can be exchanged for flight, upgrade, travel, experience or other awards.
remain valid for 36 months after the date they were earned, expiring at the end of the quarter concerned.
remain valid indefinitely for Frequent Travellers, Senators and

HON Circle members for as long as they retain such status.

remain valid indefinitely for holders of a Lufthansa Miles & More Credit Card issued in Germany.

Status miles

are earned on Adria Airways, Air Dolomiti, Air One, Austrian Airlines Group, Cirrus Airlines, Croatia Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Lufthansa Regional, Lufthansa Private Jet, SWISS and all Star Alliance member airlines.
are automatically credited together with the same number of award miles for travel on these airlines.
You'll become a Frequent Traveller with 35,000 miles, a Senator with 130,000 miles earned within a calender year. A status mileage level of 100,000 miles applies for members who are not German residents.

HON Circle miles

are earned on Adria Airways, Air Dolomiti, Air One, Austrian Airlines Group, Croatia Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Lufthansa Private Jet, Lufthansa Regional and SWISS.
are collected on Air-Rail Trains in Germany. Please note that a maximum of 100,000 of these miles can be included in the 600,000 miles required to qualify for HON Circle status.
count towards HON Circle status, for which a certain number must be earned within two consecutive calendar years.

Senator Premium Award

From 1 October 2006 Senators can enjoy more flexibility with the new Senator Premium Award. Even when it is no longer possible to redeem a regular Miles & More award for a chosen flight - by using double the number of award miles in future Senators will be able to book even the very last available seat. So they will have more flexibility in planning journeys, even when using those flights which are most in demand.

The Senator Premium Award can be booked under the following conditions by phoning the Senator hotline:

currently, on Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines and LOT Polish Airlines operated intercontinental scheduled flights in Economy and Business Class
once per calendar year
from 3 months to 1 month before the desired departure date
for up to three travel companions
applicable to one-way flight awards
cannot be combined with the Companion Award and children's flight award

HON Cirlce Member

Becoming and staying an HON Circle Member: You must collect at least 600,000 HON Circle miles the last two consecutive calendar years (current and preceding calendar year).

HON Circle miles are status miles that you collect on Air-Rail trains in Germany and on flights operated by Adria Airways, Air Dolomiti, Air One, Austrian Airlines Group, Croatia Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Lufthansa Private Jet, Lufthansa Regional and SWISS. Only a maximum of 100,000 miles collected on Air-Rail trains will be considered.

To make it easier for you to qualify as an HON Circle Member in the next two calendar years, you will now earn an Executive Bonus of 50%.

Senator Partner Card

Your spouse or partner can enjoy Senator status at your request while you are an HON Circle Member.

Booking guarantee

You can rely on our booking guarantee up to 24 hours before departure in Business Class (booking class C, D) and up to 72 hours before departure in Economy Class (booking class Y). At present online award bookings are excluded. The guarantee applies to all flights operated by Lufthansa, Lufthansa Regional, Austrian Airlines Group, LOT Polish Airlines or SWISS.

Flight award availability

You enjoy unsurpassed availability when booking flight awards up to 14 days prior to the departure date, provided there are still seats for sale in your desired service class (Economy or Business Class) on an Austrian Airlines Group, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa or SWISS flight.

This also applies when booking flight awards for up to three other people travelling with you in your service class.

Fly Smart flight award bookings have an availability of 14 days prior to the departure date. This is why the guaranteed flight award availability levels do not apply to Fly Smart flight awards.

Waitlist priority

You benefit from the highest standby and waitlist priority on Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines or SWISS flights that are already fully booked.

Upgrade vouchers

We will send you 6 upgrade vouchers in the form of eVouchers when you become an HON Circle Member and each time your status is extended.

Executive Bonus

On flights operated by Adria Airways, Air Canada, Air Dolomiti, Air One, the Austrian Airlines Group, Croatia Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Lufthansa Regional, SWISS, United Airlines and US Airways, you will receive an additional 25% on top of the distance miles you fly or 25% of the fixed miles on European routes.
