Earn Miles
Skywards membership gives you two easy and direct ways to earn Skywards Miles - through flights with Emirates, SriLankan and the partner airlines and through our non-flight partners. The more Miles you earn, the more rewards you can enjoy. Every time you fly you will earn one Skywards Mile for every mile flown, which is then credited to your account. You can also take advantage of the Family Bonus programme offered by these airlines. Simply nominate up to eight family members and when they fly Emirates or SriLankan, 20% of their flown miles will be credited to your account, including bonuses for flying Business or First Class and any promotions.
Flying with Emirates or SriLankan also credits your account with the equivalent in tier miles, which help you move toward and retain the higher status of Skywards Silver and Gold membership. Once you reach these tiers, you'll gain access to exclusive benefits and rewards, including a special tier bonus when earning Miles.
For example, when flying Economy Class, a Silver member earns a 25% tier bonus (meaning instead of earning one Skywards Mile per mile flown, they earn 1.25 Skywards Miles), while a Gold member earns a 50% tier bonus, or 1.50 Skywards Miles for every mile flown.
Your ability to earn Skywards Miles extends to our non-flight partners, with earning opportunities at partner hotels, or with leisure and lifestyle partners, car rental and financial institutions.
Status and Privileges
When you become a Skywards member, your benefits extend far beyond rewards. Fly Emirates or SriLankan and you'll enjoy access to additional passenger services, including a Dubai visa service, chauffeured transport to and from selected airports, special meals, Fast Track at the airport and special stop-over packages in Dubai.
To ensure as much comfort and enjoyment as possible during the journey, passengers travelling on Emirates or SriLankan, can specifically request any particular seat at the time of booking, in any class of travel, subject to availability. And as a Skywards member, you are able to record your preference for an aisle or window seat, and this will be accommodated whenever possible.
If you're flying with Emirates to Dubai and need a visa, simply call the Emirates reservations office at least ten days before your flight and, for a small fee, Emirates will happily arrange an electronic visa for you.
You can select from a list of over 20 meals designed to meet your dietary, religious or medical requirements, when you book your flight or at least 24 hours prior to departure*. You can record your meal preference as part of your profile.
Exclusively for Business and First Class passengers travelling with Emirates, Fast Track streamlines the immigration process for arrivals in Dubai. On SriLankan flights, Business Class passengers will receive invitations inflight for Fast Track in Colombo airport. Simply look for the Fast Track signs as you approach Passport Control.
If you're flying with Emirates via Dubai and your ticket permits a stop-over, you can take advantage of preferential rates on hotels, car hire, golf packages and tours. To organise your stop-over, simply contact your local Skywards service centre or Emirates reservations office for more details.
Skywards Gold
When you become a Skywards Gold member, you are entitled to a premium level of service and privileges. In addition to all the benefits of Skywards Silver, you'll also enjoy exclusive Gold member benefits, including:
- Guaranteed seat reservations, even on fully-booked flights.
- Personal travel assistance from our dedicated Gold Desk.
- Complimentary E-gate access at Dubai International Airport.
- Complimentary access to members and a guest, to all Emirates and affiliated Business Class lounges. For lounge access in some countries, minors may need to be accompanied by an adult. Accompanying guest must be departing on an Emirates flight.

Skywards Silver
Skywards Silver membership instantly entitles you to extra travel privileges, including:
