SriLankan Airlines has launched a new Frequent Flyer Programme (FFP) offering reward scheme for all its loyal passengers, commencing 1st April, 2008. All current Skywards members holding mileage balances will have the option of transferring their miles to the new Frequent flyer program. All SriLankan Airlines’ Skywards members will continue their membership and rewards will continue to be available on Emirates flights and from other leisure and lifestyle partners. SriLankan’s agreement with Skywards will expire with the ending of the airline’s management contract with Emirates on 31 March 2008. Nevertheless, SriLankan Airlines will continue to honour Skywards reward tickets, for a further period of 12 months commencing 31st March 2008.

Every time you fly with SriLankan Airlines, you accumulate SmiLes at the rate of 1 mile per flown. Miles can be redeemed for any of the following: Ticket purchases / partial payments, Purchases on our Inflight Duty Free, Serendib Treasures, Purchases on holiday packages from SriLankan Holidays.

Status and Privileges

When you move up to SmiLes Silver membership, you receive a 25% bonus for every mile you fly with SriLankan. As a Gold member, your bonus increases to 50%.

SmiLes Members who reach the Silver Tier Level can opt to join the Baggage Plus or Baggage Premier programme. If you travel frequently for trade, this is just the thing for you. In addition to most of the benefits highlighted in ‘benefits all the way with SmiLes”, the Baggage Plus members will get an additional 25kgs and Baggage Premier members will get additional 35kgs. SmiLes Baggage Premier members will also have access to the airport lounge and guaranteed seating on economy class.
