Emirates with New luxury amenity kits
New luxury amenity kits, containing exclusive products by Bvlgari, are now offered to passengers in the First and Business Class cabins on Emirates' long-haul flights. In developing the new kit, Emirates wanted to link with a popular major brand, give the new product a more luxurious feel and source a supplier through which they could be refreshed on a regular basis.
As part of its agreement with Bvlgari, Emirates has exclusive use of Thé Rouge (Red Tea) products. The men’s First and Business Class amenity kit contain Thé Rouge after shave emulsion, eau parfumée and body lotion. Those for ladies contain Bvlgari nourishing face emulsion, nourishing hand cream and eau parfumée Thé Rouge.
The bags themselves complete the luxury look and feel. The men’s First Class bag is made of Italian leather while the Business Class bag is made of canvas with smart leather-look trim. Ladies in First Class have a brown suede-style and in Business Class a light beige fabric bag. Inside pockets hold the products while a waterproof base protects three of the styles.
Terry Daly, Divisional Senior Vice President Service Delivery, said: "We wanted to offer amenity kits that look and feel special and I am confident that we have. As well as Bvlgari cosmetic products, the amenity kits contain a range of other useful items. All of them are well known brands which demonstrate Emirates' commitment to quality as well as providing reassurance to our customers. For instance, toothbrushes are Oral B, toothpaste is Colgate, tissues are Kleenex and, in the men's amenity kit, the razor is from Taylor's of Old Bond Street featuring a Schick replaceable three-blade razor."
Emirates enhanced version of its First Class
Emirates, the innovative Dubai-based airline, today announced a multi-million dollar programme that will cement its leadership in providing “best in the air” travel experiences in all classes. This massive investment will see Emirates introduce an enhanced version of its First Class private suites. The new onboard product will make its first appearance on Emirates' Boeing 777-300ER ULR (Ultra Long Range) aircraft being delivered this month, and its 777-200LRs – the first of which will be delivered in August 2007. Over the next 18 months, Emirates will receive 24 new aircraft fitted with this new product. It will also be implementing an aggressive programme to retrofit its existing Boeing 777 long-haul fleet. In a three-class configuration, Emirates’ new Boeing 777-300ERs (ULR) will offer eight private suites in First Class.
News: Emirates to launch water limousine airport transfer
Emirates is about to become the only airline in the world to offer a water limousine airport transfer service. The scenic transfer will start on July 1st when Emirates begins its non-stop service from Dubai to Venice, the city world-famous for its canals. The Emirates’ Water Limousine will be available exclusively to Emirates' First and Business class passengers arriving in, and departing from Venice. Passengers will be transported in comfort aboard partially enclosed Riva-style boats from a dedicated pontoon next to Venice International Airport. The short and pleasant ride from the airport, on the Italian Mainland, to the Venetian archipelago avoids the sometimes heavily congested journey by road.
The introduction of the Emirates’ Water Limousine also means passengers can reach hotels using one mode of transport rather than two. Normally, passengers would take a car from the airport and then require a public water taxi for the final leg of the journey. Ghaith Al Ghaith, Emirates' Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations Worldwide, said: "We have been excited about the water limousine service since first discussing the possibility some time ago and now the arrangements are in place for a superb premium traveller logistical treat. This, after all, is a place sometimes nicknamed the "City of Water," so it is apt that Emirates is incorporating water, and the convenience it provides, into its service." Mr Al Ghaith added: "Emirates has a strong track record of pioneering offerings. Nowadays, our passengers, and the market in general, expect innovative ideas and that is precisely what we have here. We expect this to be a popular, relaxing way to end or begin a journey."
The water limousine airport transfer service will initially be operated on a trial basis and reviewed after three months. Venice will be Emirates' third gateway into Italy, supplementing the existing daily services to Milan and Rome. The new five-times-a-week service will connect the catchment area around Venice, including the Italian cities of Verona, Trieste, Florence and Bologna, as well as the neighbouring country of Slovenia, with the Emirates international network via Dubai. Emirates will operate an Airbus A330-200 on the route which will offer a weekly capacity of just under 2,000 seats, plus 91 tonnes of cargo, in each direction.
Emirates Middle East Expansion Plan
Ahead of the start of the New Year, Emirates, one of the world’s fastest growing airlines, has unveiled plans to further expand its Middle East network.
The Dubai-based carrier is strengthening its Kuwait and Damascus operations by adding two flights each per week, and enhancing its Beirut service to a double daily. The scheduled enhancements will boost available capacity in the region by over six per cent and bring Emirates’ Middle East presence to a robust 155 weekly flights to 12 gateways.
Starting 25th March 2007, Emirates will introduce an additional flight to Kuwait every Sunday and Monday using the modern Airbus A330-200 aircraft in a three-class configuration of 12 First, 42 Business and 183 Economy Class seats.
The extra flights, a result of Kuwait’s recently announced Open Sky Policy, will enable Emirates to offer daily early morning departures, connecting Kuwait’s businessmen to key European gateways and its sun-seeking leisure travellers to the Far East within three hours. Post frequency increases, Emirates will serve the oil-rich nation with 25 flights per week.
Increasing demand for air travel has prompted Emirates to add an extra flight every Tuesday and Wednesday to the Syrian capital, Damascus, from 1st May. The extra flights will introduce over 500 passenger seats and more than 30 tonnes of cargo capacity per week per direction, and offer travellers two departure options - four morning flights and five afternoon flights.
For the first time, Emirates passengers will have a choice of two flights per day to Beirut, starting 25th March. The additional Monday flight will be operated on a three-class Airbus A330-200 offering industry-leading comforts, ergonomically designed seats, and personal entertainment systems in all classes.
Hamad Obaidalla, Senior Vice President Commercial Operations, Gulf, Middle East & Iran said: “The Middle East, emboldened by a tourism boom and rapid economic development, is posting one of the strongest growth rates in air travel. According to Airports Council International (ACI), passenger traffic at Middle East airports has increased 10.9 percent, outstripping all other regions; while cargo traffic growth stands at 5.4 percent, second only to growth in Asia Pacific.”
He added: “Statistics from IATA mirror a similar scenario with international air traffic in the Middle East expanding at an average annual growth of 6.9 percent until 2010 – ahead of all other geographic regions.”
“Emirates is steadily strengthening its operation to cater to the region’s robust air traffic growth. With over 150 weekly flights to the region, Emirates remains the strongest carrier in the Middle East market.”
Emirates expansion campaign in the region has also included the launch of ‘Travel Shops’ in Damascus and Riyadh.
