If you are a Business Class passenger, you will be able to enjoy a complimentary chauffeur-driven service. A chauffeur will collect you from your home or office and when you touch down at your destination, a chauffeur will take you to your desired location. For Business class passengers checking in from Dubai, as well as Gold and Silver members of Skywards, Emirates offers a unique check-in 'lounge'. The light and spacious new lounge has been designed to make sure your passage through the airport is as smooth and hassle-free as possible, with a modern design that offers the ultimate in comfort and luxury. At the airport Emirates will speed you through the exclusive Business Class check-in desks, label your baggage with priority handling tags and invite you relax in the Business Class lounge facilities at most airports.[1][2]

The Emirates Lounge offers a place of refuge whilst you wait for your flight and is available to Business Class passengers. You can now relax in the lounges in Auckland, Bangkok, Brisbane, Dubai, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Melbourne, Munich, New York's John F. Kennedy, Paris' Charles de Gaulle, Perth, Singapore and Sydney. In the lounge you can enjoy a selection of food and beverages. The large buffet and full bar service will help revive you with an emphasis on fresh, healthy, wholesome food. Early birds can enjoy a breakfast selection, while later in the day, guests can select from Arabic, Far Eastern, Western or vegetarian cuisine. For those with a sweet tooth, the array of desserts will prove irresistible. A fully-equipped Business Centre with independent work stations and complimentary broadband and wireless LAN access means you can work up until your flight.[3]

Ob board the Airbus A380 you can enjoy a business class seat that can fully recline in to a 79” long flat bed. The seats include personal storage, massage features and a privacy divider. For your convenience, every seat has access to the aisle. An in-seat power supply for laptops, dual port USB and extra-large table provide a comfortable workspace, and over 1000 channels of ice entertainment are available on a 17" Digital widescreen TV. To add to your personal comfort you’ll find a built-in mini-bar in every seat. Using your touch-screen wireless seat controller to adjust your seat and to select channels on demand, you can tailor the entire experience to suit your own preferences.[4]

To better serve you, Business Class aboard the new Emirates A340-500 is divided across two separate cabins, allowing for greater privacy and a high degree of personal attention from your cabin crew. A 2-2-2 configuration means that every Business Class passenger has either a window or aisle seat, and also means greater privacy if you are traveling with a partner. Your hand-held mode controller allows you to take charge of your journey. With it, you can alter the pitch of seat, bring up a movie, enjoy a huge collection of music.[5][6]

Emirates’ business class course meals are individually prepared by master chefs and are accompanied by an extensive range of award-winning wines, which are carefully selected by sommeliers. Complimentary drinks, including champagne, are offered throughout the flight, and a selection of hot and cold canapés are severed between meals. Fresh speciality teas and coffees will be served at your request, and hot chocolate, Horlicks and Ovaltine are available to help you drift off. Should you have any special dietary requirements or preferences, Emirates advises you to order them when making your reservation. For the benefit of the frequent business travelers, the menus are changed regularly.[9][10]

Stretch your legs during the flight on board the Airbus A380 and take a walk to the spacious Lounge. Read a newspaper, listen to music, use your laptop, or simply enjoy the view from the aircraft’s external cameras. A variety of drinks and hot and cold beverages are available throughout your flight. The Lounge attendant is available at all times to assist customers with their requests, ensuring that your time in the Business Class Lounge is a tasteful and enjoyable experience.[11]

The video on demand system means that you can watch the movie you want, when you want. You can choose from hundreds of films from almost every genre imaginable, from the latest Hollywood and Bollywood blockbusters to timeless classics, world cinema, musicals, animation with many titles also available in Arabic, Japanese, Indian and European languages. Your personal telephone allows you to make calls to anywhere in the world at low standard rate (at just US$ 5 a minute, it’s the least expensive and most used of all in-flight telephone systems). Your phone can also be used for calling any other seat on the aircraft, free of charge.[12]

A380 flights will be operational from 8th August 2008 on Emirates flight EK 201 from Dubai to New York JFK International Airport (Sunday/Wednesday/Friday) and on Emirates flight EK 202 from New York JFK International Airport to Dubai (Sunday/Wednesday/Friday), with inaugural flights between New York JFK International Airport and Dubai on 1st and 3rd August 2008.
