The Germanwings desks open 2 hours prior to departure and close 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. In order to safeguard punctual take-off, it is not possible for passengers to check in any later than this. A customer’s right to be carried lapses with their failure to check in on time. In Cologne, Germanwings passengers with hand baggage only who are flying to one of a selected range of destinations have the option of checking in quickly and easily using check-in machines.

Economy Class Seat

Each passenger may take one item of hand luggage on board with the maximum dimensions 55 x 40 x 20 cm. Please surrender larger and heavier items of luggage at the counter. If you have a laptop with you, it should be carried onto the plane in addition to any other hand baggage you have. As with coats, umbrellas, handbags, duty-free goods and cameras, there will be no extra charge.

The Germanwings flight attendants offer a range of refreshing snacks at attractive prices: Fresh sandwiches, tasty nibbles, hot or cold drinks – the choice is yours! Snacks can be paid for in cash (€) or with a credit card (Visa/Eurocard).

Service

The cabin staff can only provide blankets in the event of medical emergencies.

On Board Entertainment

Germanwings offer a on board magazine which is issued newly every three months. At boarding complimentary newspapers e.g "Bunte" or "Focus" are issued.
