Korean Air, South Korea’s flagship carrier, is pleased to announce today that it has won the coveted OAG Airline of the Year Awards for Best Economy Class on its debut appearance in the competition. Korean Air was also short-listed for the Best International First Class and Best Airline Based in Asia categories.
The award reflects Korean Air’s determination and continued effort to provide the highest levels of in-flight service and comfort to its passengers. With award winning catering, newly upgraded comfortable seats with a generous seat pitch and cutting edge entertainment systems, Korean Air’s Economy Class service has received high praise from travellers around the world.
Mr. Jonghee Lee, President of Korean Air, said, “Korean Air aspires to excel in the industry and this aspiration is the driving force behind our innovative services and facilities for our customers. The goal of achieving “Excellence in Flight” will continue to serve as our guiding direction and we hope we can continue to win the hearts of our passengers and the support of our industry partners.”
