[edit] On Ground Services
Naturally you can check in in the First Class area at Terminal 1 in Frankfurt on your day of departure and use the First Class Lounges there or let yourself be driven to the First Class Terminal by a shuttle service after Check-in. The staff at the Lufthansa First Class Check-in at Terminal 1 will be happy to help arrange the Shuttle Service for you. Normally you can find a Lufthansa First Class Check-in counter at the major airports outside Europe. As a guest of the Lufthansa First Class you can enjoy the unique services and exclusive atmosphere of a First Class flight whilst still being on the ground. Lufthansa is the first airline worldwide to build our First Class guests their own terminal in Frankfurt. It offers privileges that are exceptional and completely unique in this format. But in addition to Frankfurt, Lufthansa now also offers First Class Service in Munich and Zurich as well as further airports outside Europe. [1]
[edit] Lounges
As a First Class guest you can, in any case, use a local Lufthansa, Star Alliance or Partner Lounge. In Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich, there are special amenities and lounges for Lufthansa First Class passengers:
[edit] First Class Terminal Frankfurt and Munich:
The special First Class Service starts right away when you arrive at the First Class Terminal Frankfurt. The parking of your car or the return of your rental car will be done for you by Sixt Valet Service. And naturally Lufthansa will also make sure that your baggage is forwarded. A Personal Assistant awaits you in the foyer and will be at your service from now on. He or she will check in for you and escort you through the subsequent security check, which is handled discreetly, fast and without waiting time. Your personal assistant will also handle all necessary formalities for you should you be flying to destinations abroad whilst you may already savour and enjoy the many advantages of the Lounge Area inside the First Class Terminal. There are numerous other amenities in the Lounge Area, besides the high class restaurant area, for you to enjoy. During your stay in the lounge you can rest in separate day rooms, freshen up in the bathroom area or make use of the privacy in the office units to work. Just as exclusive and personal as your stay at the First Class Terminal Frankfurt was, will be your way to the aircraft. A chauffeur in a Mercedes S-Class or a Porsche Cayenne already awaits you when you leave the First Class Terminal. He will take you directly to your aircraft, ready for takeoff. Should you - due to a late arrival - have less than 45 minutes to catch a possible ongoing flight, an exclusive van service will take you directly to your connecting flight.[2]
[edit] First Class Seat
With the Sleeper seat you experience the highest of sitting and sleeping comfort because you can easily turn it into a two-metre-long bed. Adjustable head and shoulder rests, a laptop connection and a personal monitor as well as various storage spaces make your seat the perfect place to rest and work. On the upper deck of the Boeing 747 fleet you may enjoy a seat pitch of 228-234 cm (90-92 inches). In the First Class aboard the Airbus A340 you have especially large legroom through a between-seats distance (seat pitch) of 216 cm (85 inches) on an aisle seat.[3]
[edit] Airbus A380 First Class
The new Lufthansa First Class onboard the Airbus A380 offers a quiet and comfortable separate cabin with only eight seats. The First Class seat combines ergonomics and comfort. Measuring 2.07 meters in length and 80 centimeters in width, the comfortable bed offers plenty of room, enabling passengers to enjoy deep, relaxing sleep. For further comfort there is an air humidification system -- the first of its kind to be installed on a commercial aircraft -- and the lighting concept, which adjusts according to the time of day. For personal items every First Class guest has an individual closet, which is lockable, in addition to the generous storage facilities around the seat. Instead of just a washroom with a lavatory, First Class passengers will find a luxurious bathroom with wash and changing areas separated from the lavatory area. The room is well-equipped with various bath amenities and provides plenty of space to move around in.[4][5]

[edit] Service
First Class Limousine Service in Munich: Munich airport offers a First Class Limousine Service with a Porsche Cayenne or a Mercedes S-Class. Guests whose flight leaves from an apron position will be brought directly to the aircraft from a central position of the airport. The same applies for guests arriving or that need to change flights and their aircraft is parked on a apron position. They will be greeted by a chauffeur at the front door of the aircraft and driven to the entrance area of the bus arrival. For connecting flights with less than 30 minutes until departure you will be driven directly to the aircraft.[11]
New Amenity Kit: Lufthansa is introducing a new amenity kit for children traveling First Class on long-haul flights. With its cool, practical design and new, useful contents, it will gradually replace the previous travel kit and make flying even more fun for young passengers. The new kit contains warm children's socks, a toothbrush set, an eye mask to help youngsters fall asleep and ear plugs so they sleep tight. And, in keeping with the latest trends, the toiletry bag can also be used after the flight and hung up anywhere. This not only saves space but also makes an eye-catching feature.
[edit] On Board Entertainment
On board the Airbus A380 the varied in-flight entertainment program, which can be accessed via a personal monitor, caters to all interests. Passengers can choose from a wide selection of the latest feature films, a range of international music and radio channels, and a current TV program. New kids’ channels have been introduced, with a varied programme for young passengers and a multi-player game mode. The 3D game graphics, which are controlled with an external game controller, provide a special highlight. In all travel classes on the A380, the popular service information about the flight, the route and the flight position can be viewed as a 3D animation. Moreover, external video cameras will be used for the first time. Among other things, they will transmit pictures taken from the tailfin perspective to passengers’ individual monitors.[12]
On long haul flights you choose between cinema, concert hall or video game. The Lufthansa Inflight Entertainment offers great entertainment above the clouds with top movie highlights, musical gems and a varied selection of games. With the Entertainment on Demand function, passengers are able to decide what to play when. Using the touch screen in First Class, you can control the entire schedule and be your own program director on board: you are able to start, stop or repeat the entertainment at any time. The user friendly graphical user interface gives passengers a choice of nine different navigation languages (German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese and Korean).[13]
