South African Airways offers Special Services for Business Class Passengers: Separate check-in counters, Priority on seat selection, Business Class passengers are invited to board the aircraft after all economy class passengers are settled, Special Baggage Tags and separate/special baggage loading. SAA also offers a curb-side check-in facility for Business Class passengers, Life Time Platinum members and Platinum card holders. First Class passengers may check their baggage as soon as they arrive at the curb-side check-in counter at O.R. Tambo International Airport (Departures Terminal).[1]

Voyager Platinum and First Class passengers can now enjoy the comfort and tranquility of the Cycad First Class Lounge, Baobab Premium Class and Star Alliance Lounges. The loungea have a chef and a team of waiters on duty seven days a week and offers a range of sophisticated dining options and a full bar service. [2] The arrivals lounge situated at the Airport Sun Intercontinental at O.R Tambo International Airport for the use of SAA’s Premium class, Platinum and Gold Voyager members has been closed.[3]

The South African Airways Business Class seat features: Full Flat-bed seat with a pitch of 73 inches, Each seat has its own power supply for laptops. The power is 115 v AC, so only a 2-pin European-type plug is required, Individual reading lights with four settings, Individually adjustable lumbar support, Articulated armrest which flattens to widen the bed to 24 inches, Telephones at every seat. One can call the ground and there is a seat-to-seat call function, for calling other seats on board.[4]

Full Audio-Video-On-Demand; passengers can stop, fast forward, pause or rewind their movies. A selection of 15 movies, 12 shorts and 10 games should be available on any flight. South African Airways offer customers on international flights access to either the Sony P@ssport system, or the Matsushita 3000 System. These are audio and video on demand systems and are available at every seat. Passengers can select from a library of movies and audio programmes and are able to play, pause and continue programmes as they wish.[7]
