Check-in time is one hour prior to scheduled departure time of domestic flights and two hours prior to scheduled departure time of international flights. Check-in will be closed 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure time of international flights and 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure time of domestic flights. You must ensure that you are in possession of a boarding pass and you drop off your baggage before the indicated check-in closing times. If you are waiting in line and expecting that you will arrive too late to check-in, please inform a TAP Portugal or Star Alliance Member staff about this situation.^[1]

Blankets, pillows, wrinting paper, postcards and some games are available. TAP allows passengers to upgrade to tap|executive class, on board its aircraft. This facility is available on all medium and long haul flights operated by TAP aircraft, with the exception of flights within Metropolitan Portugal and also those to and from Madrid.^[2]

[edit] In Flight Meals

TAP offers its customers new meals in economy class on board its intra-European flights, thus giving continuity to an innovation process for products and services with the airline. Morning flights, proposed meals will consist of sandwiches followed by a fresh fruit salad – therefore adjusting the type of meal more suitable for this period of the day. While on other flights, sandwiches have a more diversified composition, accompanied by a fresh vegetable salad. This way, TAP renews the menus served on board, including new hot meals in economy class for long-haul and transatlantic flights.^[3]

TAP provides a varied programme of entertainment and information, to make your journey as easy and pleasant as possible. A selection of the most recent feature films distributed by the industry, cultural and recreational documentaries and cartoon films are shown in all aircraft. Documentaries about Portugal and films about TAP destinations are also shown. All programmes are in Portuguese and English.^[4]
