About TUIFly

In summer 2007, the TUI AG Group in Germany owns 56 aircraft, which means that TUI operates the third-largest German fleet after Lufthansa and Air Berlin, carrying more than 13.5 million passengers per annum. As from mid-January 2007, the entire aircraft fleet, which originated from Hapagfly and HLX, will operate under the new, amalgamated airline brand TUIfly.

TUIfly offers flights to 75 destinations in 17 countries, at low fares and in the customary high quality. Hapag-Lloyd Flug continues to stand for reliable flight operations, where quality, punctuality and friendly service on board take top priority.

TUIfly.com will be expanded into an international airline sales brand and will in future provide a central online travel platform which offers additional travel modules for business and holiday travellers.

TUIfly headquarters are at Hanover Airport. The two wholly-owned TUI AG subsidiaries Hapag-Lloyd Flug GmbH, responsible for flight operations, and Hapag-Lloyd Express GmbH as sales company, will remain separate legal entities for the time being. Our airport desks and our entire airport presence will gradually be changed over to the new brand as from spring 2007.

Fleet

  • Boeing 737-500
  • Boeing 737-700
  • Boeing 737-800

In summer 2007, the fleet will consist of 56 modern Boeing 737s, operated by the two reputable companies Germania and Hapag-Lloyd Flug, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of TUI AG. These two companies will also supply the pilots and flight attendants for TUIfly. All these employees are thoroughly experienced, highly motivated and, of course, qualified to meet international standards. They attend regular training sessions and advanced training courses to ensure that they satisfy all the requirements of the prescribed regular checks.
