The Thai Airways First Class passengers are greeted once they stepped out of their vehicle with bellboys taking their luggages to the check-in island, located on the exclusive western end of the passenger terminal at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport. The area is dedicated to THAI’s premium travellers. While waiting to receive their boarding passes, Royal First Class passengers will be able to wait in a specially designated antechamber with leather sofas and served with Thai herbal infusions, while their boarding passes are printed. They are then escorted through the exclusive immigration line, and then towards the Royal First lounge. Once the flights are boarding, Royal First passengers are escorted through the security and onto the planes.[1]

Royal First Lounge in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport at Concourse D, Level 3 - 1,400 sq.m. have been allocated for First Class passengers with the capacity to accommodate 174 passengers at one time. Facilities include: Exclusive Music Room, Private Corners, A la Carte Dining Room, Business Center (wi-fi internet), Mini Library, Cigar & Smoking Rooms, Slumber Rooms, Shower Suites and Toilets & Mother Care. The Royal Orchid Spa at concourse D, Level 3 is primarily catered Royal First and Royal Silk passengers with full ranges of service. While Royal Silk passengers are offered with either foot massage or neck and shoulder massage, Royal First passengers are offered the use of the 3 Spa Suites with Jacuzzi and Tropical rain fall that passengers can relax themselves in a tranquil atmosphere, where the master therapists massage them with aromatic oil. Royal First passengers can also opt for the four-hand neck and shoulder massage if they are pressed for time.[2]

The newly installed shell seats convert to superbly comfortable beds, with 180 degree of recline, and almost seven feet of space in which to stretch out plus fully adjustable leg and foot rests. Soft blankets and pillows are also of the finest quality. Thai Airways First Class is comprised of 8 seats on Airbus A340-600 and 10 seats on the refurbished Boeing 747-400. Passengers can enjoy the utmost comfort and be able to fully relax in shell type seats arranged in a single row setting. This type of arrangement allow passengers to have maximum privacy. These First Class seats offer 83-inch pitch with 180 degree recline angle and leg rest. First class passengers travelling together can also dine together on the same dining table, as the ottoman can also be used as a seat.[3]

Thai Airways is renowned for its gracious inflight service and its excellent meals in First Class. For Royal First Class passengers departing Bangkok, THAI has created a whole new dimension in gourmet choice, with an exclusive ‘Chef on call’ service, through this service you can request special menus in advance on most long-haul flights. (Passengers departing from other destinations please contact THAI Offices for your local Royal First Class menu selection.) With each dish prepared individually by a THAI award-winning master chef, this gastronomic selection presents the finest traditions of Thai, Oriental and classic Continental cuisine. All drinks are complimentary, including the Otard 1795 Extra Cognac and 2000 Vintage Champagne Dom Perignon.[4]

The exclusive Royal First Class toilets are provided with soft linen towels and a range of top-name toiletries, for ladies and gentlemen, to refresh themselves and add fragrance to their flight. The range of toiletries is changed from time to time, to add variety, but they are always of the finest fashion brands.[5]

In-seat facilities include a personal telephone and PC power outlet, while an onboard work station facilitates worldwide communications during the flight. The latest Audio/Video On Demand (AVOD) system, with large format touch-control screens, offers a huge range of entertainment, music and information channels.[6]
