Bangkok Airport: Check-in counters open three hours before scheduled departure time and close 40 minutes before the scheduled departure time. There are also dedicated check-in counters for Premium Economy, Royal Orchid Plus Gold and Star Alliance Gold passengers on International flights located at rows H-J.[1]

The pleasure in flying this enhanced Economy Class will be clear from the moment you are welcomed into the elegantly designed A340-500 cabin, with its contemporary Thai décor and generous sense of space. But the main reason for choosing to upgrade a class of travel is, of course, the extra comfort offered. THAI’s Premium Economy Class seats are wider (19 inches) and longer (42 inches pitch with 122 degree angle of recline), plus wider arm rests and finger-touch controlled leg rests. These are the most technologically advanced and design perfected seats available to any airline. The Premium Economy Class is available on A340-500.[2]

THAI is renowned for its gracious inflight service and its excellent meals in all classes. It offers a choice between two entrees, and changes its menus on a regular basis to please frequent passengers. All drinks are complimentary. A type Thai meal might include succulent "Tom Yam Kung" (Hot and sour soup with prawns), "Kaeng Massaman Kai" (Massaman curry with chicken) and delicious desserts like "Khanom Ba-Bin" (Coconut cake). THAI's Western cuisine menu can include such delicacies as Caviar or "Lobster Thermidor" and a main course of "Rack of Lamb with Rosemary Sauce" or "Olive Marinated Salmon with Herb Sauce". A meal may be topped off with a "Charlotte Alcazar on Raspberry Sauce".[3]

For this spacious class of travel, on non-stop flights to Los Angeles, passengers are presented with a mini travel kit containing a selection of toothbrush kits, eye shades and comfort socks while toilets are also equipped with top quality toiletries such as fragrant eau de Cologne and moisturizing hand cream.[4]

In-seat facilities include a personal telephone and PC power outlet, while an onboard work station facilitates worldwide communications during the flight. The latest Audio/Video On Demand (AVOD) system, with large format touch-control screens, offers a huge range of entertainment, music and information channels.[5]
