[edit] On Ground Services

First Class service begins with personal limousine transfer from anywhere within Istanbul to the airport, where passengers are met by special assistants and shuttled from point to point in personal golf cars. All pre-boarding procedures are handled by these assistants, allowing passengers to retreat to the comfort of CIP and First Class lounges though special security doors without ever waiting in line.[1]

[edit] Lounges

Turkish Airlines invites First Class passengers to go to the special waiting lounge (CIP Lounge). Just leave your boarding card at the CIP Reception Desk, so that the staff may inform you when your flight is ready. Time passes quickly in the CIP Lounge, with soothing background music, a refreshing welcome drink, wireless internet connection and fax facilities. CIPYou can also watch television, continue to work at the Business Center or glance at the local and foreign newspapers and magazines.[2]

[edit] On Board Entertainment

To keep you entertained during the flight, a 23inch flat screen monitor offers a selection of movies and a wide selection of music albums, documentaries and short features, on demand. In addition to these live text news and various games make the flight more enjoyable.[8]

The entertainment section features 30 classic, box-office, international and children’s movies; a short-feature channel with 40 TV series, documentaries and animations; a local and international music stream comprising 250 CD albums ranging in genre from pop to mystic; a game channel with 17 interactive multi and single-player games; and, for our younger travelers, a separate children’s channel and audio books. The entertainment section is continuously updated and expanded, and we plan to increase the number of movies to 60 and the number of short programs to 70.[9]

The communication section of the screens allow First Class passengers to send and receive short messages and e-mail, and reach those in other seats or their loved ones on the ground by telephone. On the connections channel, passengers can receive information about connecting flights, and the news channel delivers text- based news on demand.[10]
