To facilitate an on-time departure, United Airlines recommends that you allow ample time for check-in. When traveling around holidays or other peak travel times, please allow additional time. Please review the travel requirements prior to arriving at the airport.[1] For travel within the U.S., please arrive 60 minutes before your flight if you are not checking bags and 90 minutes before your flight if you are checking bags. United Airlines serve complimentary meals on most international flights. Shortly after takeoff, customers will enjoy a beverage service with complimentary snacks, soft drinks and premium liquors, beer and wine. Alcoholic beverages are complimentary on flights within Asia and on international trans-Pacific flights, and they are available for purchase on all other international flights. Meal service later in the flight will consist of salad, appetizer, a choice of hot entrees, and dessert. On longer flights we also offer a light pre-arrival meal.[4] United offers meals to meet medical, religious, or other dietary specifications. You can place your special meal request when booking your flight or by calling Reservations at least 24 hours before your scheduled flight time.[5]

Satellite phone service is available on domestic and international flights aboard B767, B747 and B777 aircraft. Rates are $10 per minute, with a $10 connection fee.[6]

During your flight, United Airlines offers feature films, TV programming, and XM audio programming, free-of-charge. United Airlines also provides complimentary headsets so that you can enjoy all of our in-flight entertainment options.[7]

Parts of United’s fleet is now Wi-Fi enabled and now offers Gogo® Inflight Internet service. Register in advance or simply launch your web browser while you’re inflight.
